In the event the EP gets cancelled, EP holders have an opportunity to get a Short Term Visit Pass and stay in the country for one more month that can be used for job-hunting and a new EP application.
WP holders are deprived of such privilege of easy job swapping unless they are Malaysians. After the WP is cancelled, the individual must leave the country within a week.
